About the Award
In 2002 this award was created in memory of Julia Zelmanovich, a member of the Class of 1997.
In tribute to the personality of Dr. Zelmanovich, the recipient of this special award must serve as a role model in the pursuit of knowledge and experience,while demonstrating loyalty to the profession, compassionate manner dedicated spirit, and an inquiring mind.
New York University School of Medicine memorializes Dr. Zelmanovich by naming the award which is presented each year at Medical Alumni Weekend, in her honor.
