ELLIOT M. LEVY, M.D., Class of 1958
I interned on the 4th medical division, intending to continue as a medical resident. I was lured into psychiatry by the excellence of the faculty. I later spent 2 more years as a child and adolescent fellow. I have continued to practice general psychiatry in Brooklyn. I am a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. I am an Emeritus Attending in Coney Island Hospital.
I have 3 children and a step-daughter who entered my life when she was 8 years old. My oldest daughter has a Ph.D. in Math. My 2 sons have doctorates in Physics. My youngest daughter was a children's book editor, and has written several herself. My 2 daughters in laws and my 2 sons in laws are beautiful people. I have 15 grandchildren.
My love of music is one of the great passions of my life. My wife and I love chamber music. We have followed our children over much of the world.
I am very proud to have attended such a great medical school.
